Precious received a dual BFA in graphic design from the University of San Francisco and the Academy of Art (AAU) in 1996. Her career began under creative director Paul Tsang. Paul’s boutique studio worked with a select fashion, arts and nonprofit clientele throughout the Bay Area. In 1997 she began teaching teaching part time at AAU.

In 1999, Precious moved to Flagstaff, AZ near the rim of the Grand Canyon to escape city life and explore the Southwest. She spent a year teaching typography and design at Northern Arizona University and often commuted between Flagstaff and San Francisco for design work.

In 2001, she relocated to Portland, OR and began teaching design at Portland State University and Portland Community College. At this time, she also opened her own design studio and began to build a roster of local and national clients. In 2009, her design work shifted to focus on wedding invitations resulting from a full page feature in Martha Stewart Weddings and additional print and blog related national press.

Today her work centers around branding. She has created work for and collaborated with Alder and Co., The National Juvenile Justice Network, Nike Well, Nike HR, Prichard Communications, Reclaiming Futures and Write Around Portland, among others. In her teaching, she has written curriculum and taught upper and lower division courses on typography, branding, service design and professional practices for over 15 years. At PSU, she has taught service learning courses on branding and partnered with nonprofits throughout Portland for several years.

She is joined in the studio by Gaby Jenkins and Bryan Zentz, who both bring a wide range of creative skills to the table.

Precious is a creative director, designer and educator. She lives in St. Johns with her daughter and husband.

Gaby is a graphic designer who lives to create meaning and emotion by combining images with words. She is a believer in thoughtful and honest design.

Her love for design started when she became an editor for her high-school newspaper, The Chieftain, in 2007. This is where image and type changed her world forever. After working professionally as a graphic designer, since 2011, Gaby graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Graphic Design in 2015.

Born in Jakarta, Indonesia and is currently living and working in Portland, Oregon with her husband and two cats.

B.Zentz became a fan of graphic design through album cover art, magazine layout, punk rock fanzines, action figure packaging, skateboard graphics, and rave & club flyers. He has worked as a freelancer, intern, junior designer, and design assistant. Despite the state of digital world domination, he remains stubbornly committed to printed matter.

When not nerding out over typefaces or trying to improve his layout skills, he can often be found creating electronic music and riding his bike around the streets of rainy Portland Oregon.
